Gun Violence Prevention
Enough is enough. We want to see change. Specifically universal background checks, red flag laws, CDC funding, banning bumstocks and banning assault rifles.
We reconize all genders and sexualities as valid and want to end stigma. We need anti-discriminatory laws and inclusive sex-ed in schools.
Far too many black and brown youth are in jail on minor drug charges. This isn’t right and contributes to the structural oppression of POC.
Marganalized groups have far too many violent encounters with the police. The police need to have sensitive training and represent the communities they serve.
Familes belong together. This includes deportation. ICE is a fear tactic that must be abolished. Our citizenship process must be made quicker and easier.
Healthcare is a right and it’s the governments responsibility to ensure everyone has affordable healthcare.
We need to put an end to rape culture. Far too many women get sexually assaulted, specifically women of color and LGBT women. Secondly we need to keep abortions safe and accessible. We need to close the gender pay gap and break the glass ceiling. In fact, or organization is women run.
As youth this is our issue, this is going to affect our lives most. We need to switch to green energy. Climate change is a huge issue and we need to stop it in its tracks.
This issue effects minorities most. We must look at the underlying causes. We also need a livable minimum wage. Issues like gentrification are also prevalent.
Campaign Finance Reform
The politics in money leave it so politicians represent their donors not their constituents. Politics has become a business, and an elitist one. Government needs to become more people focused.
